Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients - Schedule Patient Surgical Procedures - Ensure that all necessary documentation is obtained and submitted to insurance companies - Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding insurance coverage and claims - Maintain accurate records of insurance verification activities - Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and requirements - Collaborate with Office Manager to resolve any insurance-related issues or discrepancies Requirements:
- knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing procedures - Proficient in using office software and electronic medical record systems - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Note:
Prior experience in a medical office or medical records department is preferred.
